We are Mia and Andrew, the founders of Meander Wellbeing. Our ever evolving family business; Meander is the culmination of our own healing journeys and what we are wholeheartedly passionate about offering to you, our community.

Derived from the name of an ancient and windy river in Greece, the word “Meander” evokes the unhurried nature of a river finding its unique way home to the sea. Healing often takes a similar nonlinear path, one of personalized twists and turns along a journey of continual growth and becoming. Our healing model rests on the understanding that we, like the flowing river gradually remember our wholeness and oneness with all living things.
Holistic:
Our approach involves assessment for both individual and systemic factors in response to presenting concerns. We consider the multifaceted aspects of health including: physical, mental, emotional, relational, environmental, and spiritual. This broad focus of the whole picture can serve to promote insight, compassion, & acceptance.
We are, as a species radically dependent upon one another and life supporting systems. Meander honours our interconnected nature by offering a diversity of healing modalities that support you to walk in a good way within these relationships. Our services enable you to learn and apply new skills, habits, and rituals that empower you to sustain a more meaningful and connected lifestyle.
Compassionate:
Com•passion: to suffer with. Though we don’t wish suffering on anyone, we realize this is a fundamental part of life and feel deeply honoured to come along side you wherever you are on your journey with grief and gratitude.
We bring the heart of compassion into all of our care modalities. In leading with our hearts, we counteract the cultural narrative which values intellect and rationality above all other ways of knowing. Emotion and body wisdom are powerful sources of vitality we work to connect with and celebrate in our practice.
Restorative:
Our services intend to promote restoration among the relationships that exist within and between the the earth ways and individuals they support. We believe restoring relationship with self involves re-relating with the flora, fauna, and life web we belong. In other words, this cosmic view of self is a call to take ecological action.
We therefore provide opportunities to engage in the restoration of natural systems. Whether it’s incorporating a restoration project into a family therapy session or restoring the natural environment where we practice yoga. Reciprocal relationships based on giving back to the communities, lands, and waters inform our work.
